CompUSA Zip CD-RW status update from Compusa

Anyone tried going to B&M Compusa's and see if they will honor their online orders? It's showing up either as "in stock" or "limited quantities" in the stores around my area.

Most the stores around here now have them in stock, but won't honor the sale price (they say the internet system is different from the stores).

They sure seem to have plenty of drives to stock the stores, while not having any left over to fill the internet orders.

I recieved a call from them and they said they will not be honoring my raincheck because they are discontinuing it. I told him how unhappy I was and he said a manager would call me that was three days ago. Email them and have not recieved a reply that was two days ago.

3 out of 5 have limited Quantities, The MV store had at least 6 on the shelf when I went there to try to get them to fill my order.

I got them to honor it at my local B&amp;M.

Why is it that they boast you can return online products to stores, but they won't honor the online price?

Either they can work together, or not! Either they are the same, or they are different. sheesh.

Maybe if you are having a problem getting the drive, you could bring this up. As a matter of a fact, the rep I talked with from compusa.com first suggest this plan of attack to me. He told me their should be no problem since I can return online products.

Give it a shot... what can it hurt?

Is it legal for compusa to cancel our online orders, and then a month later have the drives available online?

Would compusa rather be taking on our complaints than taking a loss (or much reduced profit) by filling our orders?

People think they're not getting their order because CompUSA has managed to restock their B&amp;M stores with the drive but aren't shipping any out to online customers. They claim they are filling orders everyday, but how many people here have got one?
