ordered 12/31 12:28am, received e-mail saying that it shipped Jan 17, delivered Jan 19. No tracking number.

Shipment NEVER received!!

Called CompUSA cust serv being on hold forever. Just shoot them an e-mail to track the delivery status. Hope they will reply.

I think your order may be filled when the warehouse near YOU get some drives, and who knows how CompUSuckA distribute the drives among the warehouses ...

We can verify this if people who got their orders shipped could tell where you are. I'm in Maryland.

When your order is filled, please post your order number in this thread? CompUSA has an order status page that does not show who the order is for, just the status. Since they are filling the orders out of sequence and may end up cancelling some people's orders, it would be good ammunition to be able to show them orders that were filled, particularly if filled orders were placed after ones that weren't. TIA

I called, and after being on hold for 10 minutes, the phone clicked and it hung me up...the 2nd time (after waiting another 10 minutes) I reached someone (who couldn't speak english very well) but was eventually told that I would -have- my cd-rw by this coming monday, the 29th, if not by Friday. Haven't gotten an email confirming shipping, though. But...there it is. She said there were over 3000 orders...

THE HELL WITH COMPUSA

I prepaid at my local store on 12/31/99. They told me it would take 2-3 weeks. its been 3 1/2 weeks. I have been checking my local compusa's stock everyday online. Today i noticed that the compusa store thats about 30 miles away has them in stock. I called the 1-800 # and asked if i could take the pre-paid invoice with me and show it to them and pick up my drive there. They said it would be NO problem. So i contacted the Store thats 30 miles from here and asked them the same thing. They gave me the "ok". So i took a nice long drive and went to the Compusa. When i got there i walked in and saw a whole bunch of the Iomega 12/10/32 drives. I asked for one and showed them my invoice. Kid at the counter said that he needs to check with his boss. His boss comes in and takes a look at the slip for about 5 seconds and said "nope". I explained it to him that i called twice and i was told it was ok to do so. He was like no thats not our policy, so i told him to call the 1-800 number and ask, so he talks to one the guys that work behind the counter and told them to call. So he calls and the people on the phone supposively said that they cant give me the drive and that the only place i can pick it up at is the original store that i pre-paid for the system. So now he is going to send a drive to my local store and they are "going to call me" yeah right, what a bunch of crap

Called today and CSR was totally confused as usual. Couldn't get a straight answer from him but credit card was charged a couple hours ago,still shows backordered on CompUSA status page. Hopefully it will be shipped today or already shipped yesterday. Ordered on 12/30.

still backordered here in Hawaii. Called CS yesterday, they said they dont ship to hawaii, I said "Lady, theres two Compusa's here, are you sure? We actually have an airport now ya know, and telephones too!" (I know, smartass answer, but WTF, no shipping to hawaii?) She told me to hold on while she checks. Sure enough, she was wrong. GOD DAMN, I hope shes a new hire....

Next hurdle, now that they are shipping them out, which rebate form should we use: the one that ends 12/31 or the one that starts 1/1?

Ordered 3 at around 2:30 AM on the 12/31/00, just got shipping
confirmation for all 3. So they apparently are shipping whatever
number you ordered (not just 1)...

There is nothing else date related on the form.

Should be no problem. I expect this form will come with our orders. If not, stop by CompUSA and pick some up before they run out.

I hope they send the rebate, because my nearest CompUSA is over 100 miles away. If it was close by I would've bought the drive from the B&amp;M store instead of online.
