I finally got the CDRW four days ago.

The drive has one LED so I suppose this is the Plextor version.
How do you verify this?
Here is the full nightmare for you guys who haven't received your drive yet.....
I waited 35 days altogether and I called every day after I received my initial E-mail on the 23rd stating that the drive was being sent.
I spoke with a female rep. name (Chermane-or-Chermiyun) who left me on hold and hung up.
Then a female rep. named Janice who was very polite but nothing she said ever came true.
After sending a couple of emails and not getting a reply, I tried the CSR number again.
After speaking with Chermain and being hung up on I spoke with a male rep. who sent me to a supervisor.
I think this rep. was named Matt Young but I may be wrong that may be another supervisor or rep.

Call this number 1-800-834-7328 and leave a message regarding the condition of your order.
Matt was not available but the male rep. sent me to another person named Scott Stumbo.
He was very willing to help although by this time I was so pissed I told him straight out that anyone I spoke to I considered a liar and until I saw a result I would not take anyone at their word.
He promised to call me back before the end of the day, he did, so he wasn't a liar so far.
He said the box had gotten lost at Fedex, the same thing alot of people have heard from reps,
also I heard this from Janice originally.
I think it has to be a way for them to get around paying back the shipping and handling charges.
Currently I have sent two emails asking for those charges to be returned which Scott said would be credited to my account but has not shown up. And I have called him regarding the rebate as well.
No success so far.
I just got the rebate number from the forum so let see what happens.
These people are complete incompetents and this should be published in Consumer Affairs journals and news.
Please don't let them get away with theft, if you ordered the drive to be sent within two days and the promised two day buisness day date was not kept after you received your confirmation, please ask for a refund of the shipping and handling charges.
