computer acting up..sometimes will not boot

As indicated in the title my computer has suddenly started to give problems. Sometimes it will not boot, says it cannot find bootable disk, sometimes will get past the windows splash screen and stop, sometimes will boot to windows but then run very slowly, sometimes it will crash with a blue screen, sometimes will stay running until i open you you tube at which point it will begin to lock up and then require a hard reboot. I suspect the sandisk SSD but how to prove it? I should also say that up until now this computer has been very stable and trouble free.

my computer setup is
sandisk SSD 480 gig hard drive
Windows 7 pro
Asus P5K-E
Intel CPU

Did you try anything yet?

I would try replacing the Sata cable, if you are worried about bad drives, that's the first thing to do. Computer running slow and then blue screen almost seems like a drive issue.

Also monitor the CPU temperature so make sure its not running hot.

Then probably run your computer with Linux live CD or a boot USB drive, stress the computer once you are in, if it works fine then its more likely that its the SSD

It may have been the sata cable..as now it works ok after moving the sata cable around a bit...time for a new cable. Which type or brand should I buy?

get anything from monoprice or newegg, they are all good
