About a year ago I upgraded my computer from an ASUS P4S533, P4 2.0ghz, 512mb Samsung DDR PC2700 RAM, and MSI GeForce3 to 1gb RAM and an ATI Radeon 9800. I also modded my Enermax 430w PSU's fans to a quieter version.
After 10 months of having no problems at all, my computer started randomly crashing. I'm pretty good with keep malware and viruses off of my computer, so I read over some of the threads here, and ran the BSOD checker to see what was causing my problems.
Most of them pointed to random Windows .dll extensions, but a few pointed to my ATI drivers.
To solve this I did a reformat and for a couple weeks everything was fine... but lately again the crashing has started again.
Is there any other resource I could use to figure out where the problem is? I've been hoping the problem isn't related to my modded PSU, and also the video card I purchased was used, but other than that I can't figure out what it might be.
The crash is hard to replicate -- I can be encoding MP3's and doing other CPU intensive tasks and it won't crash -- other times my computer will crash when I leave it on overnight...
