COMPUTER CRASHING!! I NEED HELP!!

I have a P4 2.4C Ghz, Asus P4C800 Deluxe, 128 MB Sapphire Radeon 9500 Pro with 512 MB of TWINX CORSAIR, and an Antec 400watt PSU with Windows XP. I have all the drivers and BIOS updates, puls windows.

I just finished building this machine about a week ago. For some stupid reason my computer keep rebooting itself radomly!!

WTF IS GOING ON?!?!?! WHY IS MY COMPUTER DOING THIS???!!!?

Please if someone could help me on how to fix this I would greatly appreciate it.

Have you ran Memtest86? Also are you overclocked at all? Get a program to moniter the PSU rails to make sure it isn't a lemon because even the best companies have flaws

i have not ran that program. what is it anyways? do i just type it in RUN? and no im not overclocking. Also all my temps are fine. I've been monitering them with ASUS prob. But i dont know what kind of program would moniter the PSU. what should i get? ASUS probe tells me the voltage and stuff like that.

how long till it reboots? have u checked the processor temperature? try just one stick of memory and the video card as the only add-on card and see if it is stable then.

I have a similar rig, i can tell ya one thing, the 3com and ATI drivers don't like each other.

Boot up in safe-mode and uninstall the 3com drivers, your onboard Gigabit will still work though with the WinXP generic drivers. I had a problem where mine would just randomly freeze 50% for the startups. 3com + ATI drivers is what did it.

Make sure it's getting cool enough too, i think it's the 3com/ATI thing.

i could use some more info. My temeratures are fine. I've been monitering the, with ASUS probe. I'll try the one stick of RAM and video card.

But overvolt!!! i think you hit the nail on the head!! i'll definatly check that out.

I could use as much info from everybody please.

Disable anything not needed in the bios. Like if your not using the serial or parallel ports then disable them. Run with just the hard drive, memory, cpu, video.
Then enable stuff one at a time. Like the lan or anything else you add. Turn off the automatic restart. It's in system properties advanced
startup and recovery. Check the event viewer for any errors.

I had this similar problem with a build that I did with an Asus P4B533-VM and a cheap Maxtop case. It ended up being the freakin memory, try using some different memory sticks and see if that fixes the problem.
