This!!!

I have Ikea Galant desk with Adjustable legs. Perfect as you can adjust it to whatever position/angle you would like.

Just wanted to post I have some cheapo Ikea table. Mine has identical legs than those in above pictures but I only have 1 of those in white but a wider one. You can also buy some "add ons" for cable management and a "tray" at the side for placing your tower (not huge ones however but it fits a fractal define).

OP,

It seems like a slide out tray for your keyboard and mouse is very important to you. Is this because you want to create more space on the desktop? If that is the case, why not try to create space by moving the LCD, by lifting it up with a stand that you can slide your keyboard underneath, or even put the LCD on the wall?

dunno about the OP but i like keyboard trays because they're at the right height. if i'm on trying to type on the top of the desk i have to raise the chair too much.

the keyboard tray is full width on that desk. they have a few other models with that feature as well.

I have a few of these desks. The keyboard tray is fairly large, it fits my multimedia keyboard, and a mouse pad for a mouse. I haven't had any complaints, other than temps rise a bit when the PC is in the cubby-hole, unless I have enough intake fans on the case to draw in fresh air from the room. That's a 26" 1920x1200 16:10 LCD in the background.
holy crap 12 megapixels?

i like slide out trays for 2 reasons. i can pull towards me closer and keep good leg room. bit stealthier appearance, less cluttery. i'd want a larger screen if i mounted it to wall.

cause i'm not ghetto would be a start.

I use a table, and I'm not ghetto. . . .well, in most regards.

My main thought is.. when it comes to computers, focus on the chair, monitor(s) and keyboard. You can easily spend $1,000 on a desk. I'd rather spend $70 on a desk, $500 on a chair that'll last me 10 years (http://hermanmiller.com/Products/Aeron-Chairs), an extra monitor and a Kineses (http://www.kinesis-ergo.com/advantage.htm).

That's how I have my set up at least, and it works great. I have no more carpal tunnel symptoms (after two weeks adjusting to the new keyboard, everything is 100% better), my back feels great, and the desk supports five monitors on a stand.

I am not ghetto, I like tables. However, I am not buying a CostCo $20 'folding table' and calling it a day.

My main area is a Stainless Steel table 3x5 feet. For me the perfect surface and my monitor is out back where it belongs...I don't really need drawers because I travel each day and my bag lives next to me.

I've enjoyed my L-shaped glass/metal desk I bought from OfficeMax like 7 years ago. I can't find the exact desk anywhere now, but it's something like taking these two desks and putting them together and cost about $200:

Since i'll be running around with a 3 monitor setup now, I decided to grab the update black glass version of that desk from Amazon for $115 shipped w/prime. Can't wait to get around to setting up my machine. I'll be getting it wednesday but won't be around to set it up until the weekend...Should be interesting!

I just got a different desk. It is deeper than my old desk and has a very wide keyboard tray. My keyboard and oversized mouse pad fit on it with room to spare. Now I have plenty of space in front of my "monitor" (TV) for papers, snack stuff, little projects, or whatever. Best $0 desk I've had so far It has a cabinet that the PC is supposed to go in, but ventilation and accessibility in there isn't so great so my PC sits next to the desk instead. The cabinet is just used for storage.

I bought a desk at Costco many years that's similar to this:

Different styling and finish, but you get the idea.

it has a keyboard tray that's just right for keyboard, but not for a mouse. That sits on the return next to me. Not as convenient as it could be...but it works.

It's getting pretty old for what it is, (oak veneer over particle board) and is showing it's age...and the crappy assembly screws are starting to pull out of the particle board. I keep putting it back together...but one of these days...it's just not going to be repairable.
