I've purchased a computer (that I've built myself) about 2 days ago. I have a Athlon Tbird 750 with 256MB PC-133 RAM, Hercules GeForce2 MX 32MB, Asus A7Pro mobo, etc. When I try to boot up with my new computer, it seems that it doesn't ast POST. Moreover, when I uninstall some pieces (to check which ones could make an error like that) and restart the computer with a critical part missing (like CPU, RAM, video card), it make all the error beeps in the manual (and the one that I'm aware of) except the one for the video card. It doesn't even make the beeps even if I uninstall the video card. It is the motherboard that is scrapped? I don't really understand because it was running very fine for 2 days and crashed after I powered it down to reboot 98SE (plugged the CPU in my hub with my other computer that is still running fine)...
