This is very potentially hot because my only (big) complaint with Geeks.com is that their shipping charges make their sometimes very sweet deals, into not-so-hot deals.

Let's hope that they don't raise the price of their items to make up for this promotion.

I disagree. If you are doing a deal that doesn't include free shipping, these guys are the most fair of anyone I've dealt with. I've done probably a dozen geeks deals over the years and they always charge solely by weight. If you add several items that don't weigh much the shipping might not increase at all. For me in CA, the basic ground charge is about 6.00 for shipping to Northern CA for a 2 to 3 lb package. I bought eleven Soyo Bayone Extremes plus another item a couple weeks ago when they were on sale for 5.99. Shipping for one was 6.00. Shipping for my 12 items that weighed 14 lbs was 9.00. I just checked and the Soyo Bayone Extreme to Bangor Maine was 8.00 for one retail box and 16.00 for eleven of them. I don't see why anyone would claim that these the Geeks shipping kills a deal. If you order a single item that weighs one lb that you will pay the minimum charge which is around 6.00 for CA and at worst 7.00 to Bangor Maine. Now if you want something other than UPS Ground like 2 or 3 day delivery, then it is a little more expensive. If you want it right away you'll pay more, but if Ground is good enough, you'll get a fair deal. Newegg is the ripoff. They add, even small items together until they get to 15 to 20 bucks before you see a break. and were are talking for things like memory where the shipping is 3.83 per stick. Try adding them up one at a time and check the shipping. Below is just one example:
I GB Patriot memory to Bangor Maine - 04401 zip code
1 piece - 3.83
2 pieces 7.66
3 pieces - 11.49
4 pieces - 15.32
5 pieces - 18.60
6 pieces - 22.94
The weight even on 6 pieces cannot weigh more that 2 lbs. The shipping even to me within CA is still 18.86 for those 6 pieces at Newegg. I only buy from Newegg if they offer free shipping for that reason.

I like shopping during the Green Light specials, but you have to want to purchase multiple items to make the shipping, which isn't too bad, worthwhile. Last time I picked up the Soyo BayOne Extreme, four headsets (the real motivator for the purchase), and five Ethernet cables. Shipping worked out to $10, or less than $2 per item.
