Computer locking up in the middle of booting.

OK, I did an export of the registry, then added these lines to the file, saved as "_new", closed reopened and imported the file, and now they are there. Lets hope for the best. BTW, under safe mode with networking support it worked for at least 20 minutes. promising.

Hold up if your stable under safe mode and unstable in normal mode its software related

Have a Sandy Bridge / Memory combination that is finicky. Memory needs to be 1.62-1.63v. Not 1.65v. Not 1.6v. Drove me nuts since one would think SPD default would work. Different than x58 setup, but just throwing it out there.

Also, I usually back out all the hardware back to bare bones, not even a hard drive and using only one memory stick. Reseat cpu and fan. If a bad boot I move memory stick from slot to slot. Then use other stick if first doesn't work and repeat to rule out slots. Then add back hardrive and go from there in safe mode to determine hardware / software problem.
