My naming convention has existed since I had a P133 Intel (With MMX!).

Processor chipset maker first letter, clock speed of the machine.

I have 5 computers in our house at the moment, so they would be:

I6850
A6000
I6600
A4800
A3000

I worked with a guy that said he named his gf's pc "The Internet". He said he hoped that she would have problems just so that she could call the school's tech support and get into an Abbot and Costello conversation with them.

ts - what's your problem?
gf - I can't get online
ts - what is your pc name?
gf - The internet
ts - I know that you can't get online. What is your computer's name?
gf - the internet

I'd be kind of screwed with your naming convention having an Intel C2Q Q6600 and an Intel C2D E6600 . Although, I think your naming is off since the 6600's run at 2.4 Ghz.
