computer not loading

Do you think its my power supply?
While playing WOW, there was a blackout in my neighborhood.
I have a surge protector too.
Would you guys know if its my power supply?

When i turn on my computer, it hangs and will not load until
i shut the computer down over and over again.

Any ideas? Because I'm fresh out..

wow.. no reply.. must be that bad.. eek. new mobo it is then.. and power supply..

Can you check that you have plugged everything in right and that the fuse on the plug hasn't blown.

Also try a new power cable if that doesn't check out.

SORRY
misread your post.... ignore all of the above except the checking connections internally - have you got the 4pin plug to the cpu plugged in.

try resetting CMOS first.

I currently have the same prob I think.
Powers up but no post, hard drive light is on. No beeps. But if you turn on, off, on ,off, .... Sometimes it boots. The switching the power input switch on the power supply then back has worked for me before. The latest trick I found was uplug power to your hard drive, power up, then plug power to drive again once it posts. I also have a bad cmos error every once in a while so if you have the cmos prob too then its the MB.

I have no cure for you prob, but these tricks might help ya get around the prob. I'm to cheap to start buying replacements unless its completely trashed.

oh wells.. i just replaced the mobo with the same mobo.. just to test it out

works perfectly.. my mobo fried..

Ok I think I might know what my problem is, Overheating I downloaded a toolk called speed fan.

After my computer froze as mentioned in the other thread I was able to reboot and found I had a remote temp of 56C which is really hot, as average is 30-34.
