While this may not effect all you in the lower 48 states. Here is a list that should continue to grow to help us people out in Alaska/Hawaii being we need computer cooling parts, or regular computer parts. It is unbiased as to their resellerratings score, but on their ability to ship with the United States Postal Service being Fedex and UPS wants a arm and leg for shipping to our states.

It also should serve as a companies morality also. USPS does pickup service just like Fedex/UPS with a flat fee of $10 for a unlimited amount of packages for pickup. It does not matter if it is a single package, or one million of them. They still only want $10 for the service. Most companies refuse to believe this saying they have to go to the post office and wait in line which is not true. Too bad for them. If they don't want more revenue from our great states, that is no problem. This list is to help us take out business elsewhere.

Here is one example of why I made this thread from a small order I tried making from MWave (Shipping to zip code 99762).

1 stick of 256 PC133 memory. Cost $71.28.
Shipping price via 2 day air. (Which is never on time to our states for some reason , it usually takes 3-6 days, the exact same time it takes USPS Priority mail.) $20.20
Overnight. $31.22
At minimum that order would have costed me $91.48 for a single stick of memory with a packed weight of less than 1lb.
USPS Priority mail with delivery confirmation and proper insurance would be less than $6. Signature confirmation just a few cents more. Standard mail less than $2.00. In all it would have costed less than $80.

Now can you imagine a case or monitor? :Q

Here is a list of the companies I ordered from that have very reasonable USPS rates.

Dalco
Logicalplus.com
1CoolPC
PretestedCPU's
Tennmax

Here is a list of stores that shipped to me via USPS, but had unreasonable rates.

Directron

Here is are stores that have deeply discounted items on shipping Fedex/UPS on all or certain items to our states that I ordered from.

Buy.com
Googlegear
Dell

Here is a list of stores that are now on my black list because they do ship via USPS, but only to military dispite multiple emails and/or phone calls to ship via that method to our states.

MWave (Very high priced USPS shipping anyway. Seems they don't care, even for the people in our armed forces.)
Newegg

Here is the list that ships USPS, but I have not tried yet. Thanks to all who posted . Note, 2Cooltek is not being listed as I tried ordering, but since I am not overseas... they insist upon Fedex.

ExaByteSystems
ExcaliberPC
Crazy PC
ZX Mods
3DCool
Be Cooling
Casecooler
Case Etc
Case Mod
ColdCPU
Cooling Gears
CPU Fx
Highspeedpc
Inflow Direct
KD Computers
MPJA
OC System
Outsideloop
Overclockers Hideout
PC Mutants
Pham Computer
Proton Computers
Subzero PC
SVC
TCWO
Card Cooler
Tech Zone
Umax PC
Xoxide
Lite-Mods
Monarchcomputer

Should any of you know of any more stores that ship by USPS. By all means please reply to this thread. It helps us out greatly.

Stores that ship internationally.

No more USPS shippers? There must be some military out there that have some more good ones for the list.

NexFan looked great, but they haven't answered their phone in a week. My emails have gone unanswered also. Anyone know what gives????

UPDATE: I'll answer my own question. Looks like they were attending COMDEX in Vegas. The question now, is: Are they a great company that allows the entire staff to go to Vegas for Comdex, or are they so small that when the company has to shut down for a week to attend a trade show?

I recommend staying away from this outfit. "http://www.azzo.com/af4/default.asp". I found something quite disturbing on their web site. It is loaded with those 1 x 1 gif images that you can not see, but tracks your internet surfing habits.

Any outfit that does that direly needs to be shut down.

Weird. I've never heard anything like this; what are the images? What do they do?
And how did you find this out? Do you always check the page source, or what?

(Sorry if this is off the original topic, I don't want to 'hijack' the thread.)

have you tried calling a normal vendor (like Newegg, say) and asking if they would ship USPS for this one order? It might take some jumping through hoops (maybe you'd have to fax them your drivers license or something) but it's worth a shot.

Sometimes I do check the page source. However if you use an older browser such as Netscape 4.08, you will see it picture frame on full size before it loads the actual picture/gif. A fellow named Andrew who sold many GeForce's in the fs/ft forum had a web page hosted by some company... they flooded his web page with those gif's to track people's surfing habbits.

Nowaday's those web pages are rare, but still around. It is very common in email though. It is very easy for a spammer to find out if he sent a email to a valid email address because most people allow for HTML type email. I am sure you can figure out why. Just letting any part of the email start to load, his database already figured your email address is valiud because your computer asks for the html he sent.
Very easy to defeat in Mozilla type browsers/email clients. Just turn all email receiving to plain text. I do not use IE because it does not allow you to control any of that, at least in the older versions. Micro$oft knew if users can disable certain features such as how a browser reacts to... 'spam' if you would, that could generate loss of revenues for them and other web companies. This 'spam' is most apparent in pop-up windows. Or more so for pages that say 'Best viewed with IE4 or newer', they want to sell you spam.

Anyway this is a thing that can be a major debate. Right now I do not care to do so.

Yes, but only on certain items. They will not ship the bigger stuff which rapes everyone in Hawaii and Alaska (where I am at). Also, for something that costs only $5+/- to ship via USPS they wanted something like $20 last time I tried. So I do not count them as a friendly place...

So far the best place I found is: 1CoolPC. But they do not come anywhere close to carrying all the stuff I need. Which is why I put this thread out in the first place.

Here is a prime example of a company that does not make proper banner ads. Got this one right here off of Anands for a cable descambler. I clicked on the ad and this is where I was brought.

Now mind you, they screwed up on this ad. It should have loaded the page where I was going, not direct me to this.

Adding Lite-Mods to the list. I have not ordered from them yet and am about to give it a shot soon. I'll let you all know how it goes being there is little resellerratings for them.

The list looks pretty good.

Sparton Technologies has been good to me but their web sites seems to be buggy these days.

I know what you guys are talking about with the shipping costs via USPS. I had an Antec 1080 shipped to my APO box and the shipping alone costs me $35.00. I tried to buy one stick of RAM at Newegg and the shipping was $36.00 (didn't order). 10 months and I am coming home.

Newegg lowered their rates to $13.16 for small items that are not on special. If they are on special though, you pay a jacked up price.
But still, $13.16 is outragous for non-priority rates. At least they are much better than MWave.

For Sparton Technologies, $77.00 so ship a $74 case w/o a power supply via USPS. I am not going to add them to the list .
More so after I had a complete system except the monitor shipped to me and the sticker said $31 for priority. That included a power supply, mobo/cpu/memory/2 HDD/DVD/Floppy/Keyboard/Mouse and a baseball glove.
