Hangs for about 10-15 seconds every few minutes then goes back to normal. It happens in desktop as well as games. I think games have also been taking longer to load. During games the sound thats being played loops. However, I've had it happen when I was playing a cd in winamp and THAT did not loop.
Computer history:
This happened a bit ago, I'm assuming its related.

Thanks in advance.
Edit: Its defragged btw.
Edit2: Also, recently when I've been quitting out of steambased games my resolution won't go back to the desktop res. When I try to change it it says I have to restart my computer before the changes take effect.
New happening: Computer just rebooted by itself when I was playing DOD:S. The frame rates were acting weird and dropping in the twenties after being very high up without any reason to.
Could this just be a heat issue? Keep in mind this problem didn't start happening until the thing detailed in the linked post did. Load temps are in the 50s for the cpu, which isn't too terrible. Also, one thing I forgot to mention was that once I get to the desktop loading of the initial programs and preparing for use takes much longer then it should/used to. It lags quite a bit when I try to open right click menus and task manager takes a while to open too. Its similar to what happens when the machine hangs.
