Well every now and then my computer will randomly reboot. Its odd. Today i was playing a game for 30 min and rebooted. Upon these reboots for some reason WMP opens and i also get a msg saying cant fine system32/bridge.dll. Any ideas or test i can run

Also whenever i reboot my computer things load up then it sorta freezes for like 5-10 min and just shows the hour glass like something is trying to load. Then finally it works fine

Spyware?

Bridge.dll is added to the start up registry from a lot of spyware apps.

You can remove it by going to the Registry Editor. Start Button --> Run -- > regedit

Then find the folder HKEY_Local_Machine\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Find the bridge.dll key and delete it.

How much free hard drive space do you have and how much ram?? you may be running out of resources. Driver conflicts/problems also commonly cuase winxp reboots.

Sure its not ur PSU? I used to get LOADS of random reboots until i upgraded to an ANTEC TRUblue 480W PSU from a generic 300W. That TOTALLY stopped the reboot problem.

Could be heat too... but you'd probally get an error beep or message for that. Depends on your mobo

Do you only notice random reboots during games? If so, could be damaged video ram or a a faulty heat sink on your video card.

If you notice random reboots 24/7 without games, it could be many things. Like Windows, your Hard Drive, System memory or even your CPU/Mobo.

You can right click on "My Computer" and select Manage to view the Event Viewer. And see if you can find any errors that accured during the crash.

Oh, Capacitors. Because the funny thing is I get random reboots too, but only during gaming.

And I think ever since I used glockgen to overclock my video card, I damaged the video ram. But if I do remember correctly the Asus had bad caps in a small batch. So, ill check on that. Thanks.

And this is after I replaced my memory and a reinstall of windows.
