Computer speakers

Building a new rig and am looking for recommendations on a new set of 2.1 or 5.1 speakers for the setup. Will be doing some light gaming and mid to loud music playing. Appreciate the advice.

Logitech makes several models of both 2.1 and 5.1 setups. My son has one of their older 2.1s, and when he cranks it up, it sounds great to me. This is a piece of gear I would buy at a Best Buy or such, in case I needed to return them. You may also be able to listen to them in the store.

what's your budget?
since it sounds like you'll be primarily using them for music, you probably should get a 2.1 setup

klipsh promedia 2.1 are good, although slightly muddyish (better for games maybe) ~$150 new atm (~$100 refurb)

swan m10 2.1 are a lot clearer, but not as bass heavy (better for music maybe) ~$120

if you're looking for cheaper, logitech does indeed make lots of decent 2.1 sets
refurb logitech z313 $20 + ~$6.50 shipping (new ~$40 might as well get the z323 from tigerdirect or something for $40 AMIR)
