Computer won't turn on (at times)

Hi, today my cat accidentaly turned off my computer by jumping on the power button. Windows shut down normally. I tried turning it back on right after but it wouldn't start.
I remembered the same thing also happened the last time I turned it off, like a half a year ago. The hardware guy told me to just plug the cord out and wait for 10 minutes and that actually helped my problem and I haven't turned it off since.
Today I tried the same thing but it still wouldn't start. Then I plugged off all components and took it elsewhere, waited 30 minutes and still nothing. Later on, after already giving up, I tried one more time and it turned itself on so I took it back to it's normal place and plugged it back in. But once I took it there it won't turn itself on again so I came here.
What could be causing this and how can I turn my computer back on?

if no power at all.check the psu power wire (plug) or try another psu.

Also this may seem realy stupid but iv seen it posted around in more places then one so it does happen to people....

Before buying a new psu, try disconnecting your power and reset switch from your Motherboard (if its a desktop) and try turning it on manually just by touching the power pins momentarily with a screw driver from were the switch was connected to the motherboad... that will bypass the switches on your case incase they were simply shorting out or something causing the issue.

Try this. That should let you know if the PSU is still functioning or not and it fairly easy to do.

If you do not have an off switch on your PSU, just pull out the cord while you put the paperclip in place and put it back in. The PSU should now instantly turn on and power whatever you got hooked to the PSU. I'd recommend disconnecting any other pc hardware from the PSU while doing this.
