Because several posters were using the same argument I've seen many users here use... That the game is in BETA so the results don't matter.
He hit back at that accusation by stating that the game is done engine wise. The campaign mode will be added and then the game launches.
Both NVIDIA and AMD are done supplying optimization suggestions.
Any additional performance will come from drivers (if NVIDIA release that Async compute + graphics driver they've been promising for 7 months now).
The things about "BETA" is because several things:
1) its used as a shield, no matter what a dev say, things may change any day because, well its "beta", that what they will tell you afterwards, im not going to put my hands on the fire for a dev, and neither should you.
Yes they could end it any day, and no one knows what implies so? thats not the point, the point is that nothing is final in a beta, nothing, and thats because, like kollock said, its just a term, placed and lifted by developers at any state of the game.
2) The results on a unreleased game does not actually matters, they need to release it so we all could play the full game.
The rest is just philosophical, its likely that AMD paid them to demo and introduce Mantle and Async Compute tech, whats the problem with that? its looks OK to me, what is not OK is what some people, is doing with it.
