You are NOT loony because you believe guns should be illegal. NO THATS NOT IT! YOU ARE LOONY due to how you carried yourself in your losing arguments. You are loony because you check into peoples backgrounds. You are loony because you statements hold no meaning to the reality the rest of us share. You are loony because people who share your same view about guns still call you loony.

To say that you shouldn't carry a concealed weapon onto the residence of a private homeowner without their consent is loony and not logical? My distaste for guns isn't exaggerated. I think it's perfectly reasonable. The fact that I don't want firearms on my residence should be respected, regardless if you're a crook, a CCW holder, or a cop.

What is loony is that I keep posting to this thread!

this may be the first intelligent thing i've recognized from you all thread...

to think you must fear something because you do not understand it is also a tad loony. your distaste for personal freedoms and civil rights of the absolute most basic kind is what sickens me. people like you are the ones that vote in the administrations responsible for the OMFG GUNS ARE TEH EVIL!!11!!! legislation, the patriot act (single biggest load of political BS ever), and countless other tresspasses on your own rights...you elected them, you endorse it...now they think they can get away with it...and the best part is you think they're right...

personally, i would never outright announce that i an a CCW holder. if by some other means the person finds out that i do carry daily and then makes a specific request to not carry into thier residence...i would abide by it...OR try to find some common ground or illustrate what i had to go through or what training i have or at least offer to unload the magazine or something...try to find some common ground and make it work...

i also agree that you should have a firearms free zone sign on your house...and then i shall laugh as your home is repeadedly vanalized/burglarized/etc because the crimimals then know they can get away with it without fear of losing thier life.

the reason society itself continues to degrade to this point is we all (as a society) have become a bunch of liberalized worthless pussies. we are light on criminals, we deflect the blame, neevr take responsibility, then pass the buck to the next guy and let him deal with it...all this bullshit about being politically correct and non-offensive and tolerant and blah blah blah is ****** bullshit...

america needs to wake the hell up, grow some balls, and take some responsibility for itself and future generations. start cracking down on the PC bullshit, start killing criminals instead of giving them 200k for a doctorate plus 30 years free housing and meals, wake up and say " i did it - my fault " instead of "well bobby jo did it why cant i and if it wasnt for that so and so i woulda got away and..." - all of that ****** needs to stop...

You should run for president - sounds like you have it all figured out.

Sigh ... I guess guns are just a necessary evil then ...

best option is not allow the cop in without a warrent.

The felon wouldn't be in my house in the first place, but I see your point. Regardless, I'll still never own or carry a gun. Not for me.

But, I will respect your right to carry one. I just wish I would be notified of that if someone with a CCW was carrying one and entered my residence.

yeap they are.

if you can find a way to get guns away from all criminals great. but they woiuld still use knives. get knives away they would turn to bats. etc etc.

face it. a criminal is going to do whatever he needs to get the stuff.

i would rather be prepared to protect my wife and kids then allow something to happen to them.

i agree with this. if you don't want them in the house ask them to remove it. But if thats how you feel have a sign up asking all CCW to remove the weapons.

I would think the majority would respect your wishes.

I agree. Most CCW holders would either leave their gun in the car or just never enter your home. We're not usually abrasive individuals.

Because unlike Canada, most of us in the US get to be on an even level with the criminals.

Ah, I see.

Canada's gun related crime may be lower than the US, but it is not nonexistent. It was a major campaign issue this election because of high rates in metropolitan areas.

Canada's violent crime rate and homicide rate is lower across the board... suggesting it is a culture difference, not a hardware difference that sets the US and Canada apart when it comes to crime.
I agree with that and furthermore, the violent crime rates in T.O. and other major cities is much higher due to gangs and drug violence, ie. the dudes with the guns.

A cop was shot in the city I work in this year. Some frickin' crack dealer. God damn it. :|

I think ALL guns should be taken away!
I think we should all be rich and not have to work. All the hoping in the world isn't going to disarm criminals or give me a fat bank account though.

No broadband - that's evil. So you're saying that if someone doesn't approve with the fact that you carry a gun and won't let you enter THEIR HOME because of it, your business will deny them service? Is that part of your service agreement? I can't help but to think that ... umm ... is illegal? Regardless of the legality, it's just lame man.
So you should have the right to ask anyone to leave your home for whatever weird reason you have, but he should have to offer his service to anyone? I don't blame him at all. I talked to a plumber who was attacked on a service call a while back and I think he now agrees that he is more worried about protecting his life than unclogging your drain.

If you were a fundamentalist would you want to do an underpants check before people entered? You wouldn't want any loose women with thongs coming in. Are you scared of the cable tech with a big screw driver in his bag? He could stab you with it. I carry a large knife with me because I use it alot at work. I usually just leave it on and I certainly never think to tell people about it before I enter their home, nor would I. Same for steel toed boots.

Lets be honest here you've had a bad experience with firearms in your life and have an irrational belief because of it. You should be just as terrified of knives. Your criminal of a father is not representative of concealed carry holders though. The requirements for them to be licensed are such that in Florida there have been 1.1 million concealed carry licenses issued since 1987, and 157 (0.01%) revoked due to firearm crimes by licensees. There it is, no emotions, no feelings, no guesses, just cold hard facts on how dangerous a person with a concealed carry permit is to you.

Any company that then says then we can't do business with you is nuts. but go ahead and tell a cop that he can't bring in the weapon. LOL good luck on that.
Whats the difference between why a cop carries and why another person carries? The cop is more likely to need their weapon but otherwise both are just carrying for self defense against criminals. The cop would refuse you service if you asked for their help and complained about their guns and it should be no different is another private individual does the same.
