Assuming the person he's playing is from Africa, then I think accent is adequate.

Nigeria, which can have a lot of different accents. The actual guy has a bit of weird one. Smith's seems to be more generic African, if there is such a thing.

I don't really remember Will Smith doing much with accents though, so he may be good, but he may also be crappy at them. You want bad? Try Gerard Butler. Charlie Hunan did a crappy job hiding his weird British accent in SoA and Pacific Rim.

Just read that the NFl is real worried about this film. It's going to remind America just how dangerous football can be for young people.

I talked with a football coach last week, and he told me that recruiting kids to play football is much more difficult today. Parents are finding other sports like soccer and basketball for their boys to play. Especially soccer. We could see a huge swing from football to soccer in the next decade.

This will put more pressure on the NFL but it will never be banned outright. It's too big to fail. Maybe a changing of rules, better equipment that would be enough to keep everyone at bay.

I never said football will be banned. It's not, but what's going to happen is kids are going to find other sports to play now. Especially soccer. I can see soocer taking off in the next decade.

My son stopped playing football 2 seasons ago due to concussions. His good friend stopped this season too. With them gone their team gets exponentially worse (they weren't too hot to start with). Football at the younger levels is dying out. Maybe not all over, but I can tell you from MANY parents I know (many locally but other friends in other states too) it's losing ranks every year.

Any contact sport will have concussions. However, concussions in Football (soccer) are a bit rare.

What people are more looking at in football is if there are brain injuries from the repeated action of the head hitting the ball while in play.

Not all that "rare" Only 1/2 as "Rare" as american football. I'm not saying soccer is as dangerous as football is. I'm just saying as far as sports go, soccer is near the top for brain/head injury. Little Billy is still in danger!!!

I found this

American football really is more dangerous than other sports according to this, especially in high school.

Basketball looks pretty safe.

Any physical activity carries risk of injury. That's why Little Billy is fat.

No doubt about that.

Baseball looks pretty safe -- that's what my boy plays!

I'm kind of surprised by boys hockey being so high. I assume most football concussions are head on head contact, or maybe shoulder to head or knee to head... but in hockey, head to head contact is extremely rare. Shoulder to head would be the #1 culprit, but in high school hockey, that would get you tossed from the game, and maybe suspended, too.

I see women's is rather high for hockey, too... But women can't body check at all. When they do, it's never some giant hit where the person goes flying. It's usually being too rough on the boards, or some minor form of interference. Could it be people getting hit in the head with pucks...?

Agreed. We all know damn well he can't speak like that. They are trying to have him speak like he is African or something... in reality, he is most assuredly an African American. And yes, there is quite a big difference.

It's for high school and college according to the data though (At least Homer's list). Kids at that age are skilled enough where they aren't taking huge diggers and landing on their heads.

So, the lesson here is not to play on the Girl's Soccer Team?
