Sadly, many women have been killed over time, as nobody can guarantee the outcome of any rape! However, the huge plus-factor is that the discomfort and pain is such, that the rapist would be disabled temporarily, (much worse than a kick in the groin that self-defence instructors teach women!) giving you time to get away and get help.

Not really, I just find the device impractical. What woman PLANS on being raped? How often does a women GET raped. Pepper spray would be a better alternative IMO as it is much less invasive. I guess if she is going to a high risk area she might want to wear one, but I could not see a girl saying "I could get raped if I go there, ohh well, I guess ill just put on my anti-rape condom" She most likely will underestimate the dangerousness of the area or not go.

I know the market is really small, basically a niche market. But there are definitely situations where a woman fears for her safety and this just might help reassure or protect her. Pepper spray isn't always practical either, if you get surprised, its basically useless.

True, but he can always try and deny it. With this he has to go to the Doctor to have it removed and the police are notified. No denying he was in there.
