Coney Island suggestions?

7 of my friends are going to coney island on a friday night. We haven't been there in a while so do you guys have any suggestions on how to make it a good trip or things to avoid.

We were thinking of meetins somewhere in the city and taking the subway there. The commute will be a long one though.

I would suggest fashioning a massive ice cream maker... then, you cover the entire place with ice cream and DEVOUR CONEY ISLAND!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!

its kinda run down but a lot of places to go...
Astroland,Aquarium, Sideshow, just walk around lots of random things

not sure how much fun you guys would have lol

use to go there like every month when i was little haven?t been there in YEARS

I went there for a show last summer (local band that my friend plays in), and it was like something out of The Stand. heh.

Cyclones game is probably the most worthwhile thing to do.
Ride the Cyclone, which is still a pretty damn good roller coaster.
They also have a batting cage throwing ~95 MPH, which is quite a challenge.

Yea.. go to a Brooklyn Cyclones game (tickets are 10 bucks..think less for some seats). Go to Astroland, go eat some Nathan's hotdogs, go on the bumper car ride and bump each other in a drunken stupor.. Coney Island still has a little charm to it.
