And your still just the raving liberal nut job who can't read and then steers threads off topic, just like your liberal God Bill Maher loves to do. Is that you, Billy?

Hey Einstein, it's "you're". If you're going to lecture someone on not being able to read ... never mind.

Only in Texas do residents of a city "not count" because they're in college. Austin votes for the Democrat in 8 of the last 10 presidential elections, but clearly it's a conservative city because "the state is conservative and it's the capital" (apparently regardless of what the actual voting record or demographics are).

Sorry, still disagree. Those liberal voting, smart assed, fakebooking pukes going to college there are a transient group who also happens to vote in higher percentages than the more conservative people who actually live there because the liberals think their votes really matter and stuff. When in Texas, they largely don't. FACT.

And the the vast majority of the brainwashed liberal punks also don't bother to hang around once they leave college in 4 years because there's not a whole lot of good job prospects there. Unless you want to sleep with conservatard legislators for money and drugs. Which according to Craig's List sex adds is a steady job for a lot of them and helps pay for college.

Today I learned that a county which voted 40 points more liberal than the rest of the state isn't actually liberal because a small percentage of them are in college.

Just stop.

And it's not strange at all considering most of the people who vote there are liberal college idiots and it's just like busing in hobos to vote, because the college crowd there is largely dirty, indigent, and certainly transient.

360k voted in 2012. There were ~50k students at UT. Again, your math needs some work.

Hey Einstein, it's "you're". If you're going to lecture someone on not being able to read ... never mind.

For one thing, that's one of the most common spelling mistakes and I rarely make it, and for another, my spell checker on my pad keeps auto-correcting it that way, unless I notice it first and change it back again. Because I usually use YOUR on it and not YOU'RE. But it's a shitty generic browser and spell checker, and who the hell besides you even cares?

And that still don't excuse the fact you are a useless troll who has reading comprehension problems and is just looking to drag a thread OFF TOPIC just for shits and giggles. And this idiotic post you made about correcting my YOU'RE just proves it.

Lol! Are you guys familiar with the term "butthurt"? Get over yourselves you whiney ass bitches, it was a joke.

Your feigned outrage was good though, almost as convincing as all your other feigned outrages about Obama.
Look, you're either young or dumb, possibly both.

"hey I raped your mom and stabbed her to death" at her funeral.
"FIRE!" in a theater.

There are some statements in some settings that no amount of emoticons makes OK.

Wishing ebola on Texas in a thread about what's the greatest state, while excessive isn't really a problem.

Wishing ebola on people where there's an active case isn't really joking, it's completely fucking uncalled for, and likely a mental deficiency.

But go ahead and keep calling it a joke, because that makes everything OK.

You all do know there is more than one college and school in Austin, which is probably filled to overflowing with whining, liberal, voting shills, right?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Universities_and_colleges_in_Austin,_Texas

http://www.citytowninfo.com/places/texas/austin/colleges

The last website says 93,682 or more college students. So it looks like closer to at least 150-200k or more of transient, liberal voters there, including part time students and including all the other specialty schools. That's a huge liberal voting block if the majority vote.

While I can't completely ignore that large liberal voting block, it is a constant factor in elections, isn't it? Obviously. But does it change my opinion that a transient, liberal voting population makes Austin a great liberal bastion? No, it does not. Because it does not reflect the conservative demographics of most of the people who actually buy homes there and in suburbs near there, and aren't just passing through once their conservative parents charge cards are maxed out.

And it appears the careless and carefree liberal students there aren't exactly welcomed by the more conservative family types, either. This is an interesting find. A lot of those liberal voting, air headed students are also property squatting in single family houses while packed on top of each other like sardines and are too damn stupid to even carry out the trash. And those students are also destroying Austin's traditional conservative family demographics in the process, too. Color me completely surprised. Or not.

Yes, yes, I'm the troll. You went right past doubling down on the stupid and went all in.

Forum trolls like yourself enjoy steering a thread completely off topic just to make an idiotic minor point that only a rabid troll even cares about, because it's all about what a smart ass you are, you selfie taking, cutie pie, you. Why not just stick to the topic for once. Talk about doubling down on the stupid.

This is my new, all time favorite thread now. Can't make this shit up.

But you love to make shit up just to thread derail, don't ya? And I thought the Billy Maher thread was your favorite thread where we had our last schlong fight.

Please sign me up to your liberal, hot, naked selfie Twitter feed. And send me a link to your Austin Craig's List sex add, so I can help you through college. You obviously need all the help you can get.

You do realize that by responding in this manner, you're (right version there, take notes) not helping out your (again, correct version) case that I'm the troll.

Bonus points for using another thread where you don't know what you're talking about as an example. I wasn't aware that was you at first. I thought that the forum stupidity level was just unusually high lately. Glad to see it's limited in scope.

You whining, whimpering, self hating forum slut who steers the majority of your posts off the rails like a train wreck and attacks the posters instead. And in your retarded mind, you think that debate tactic makes you right. Titanic asshole indeed.

Easy man. You could hurt my feelings. I surrender. You definitely win this debate.

This thread was epically derailed by someone arguing that Austin isn't a liberal city? Does he live in Texas? I mean, not that you'd have to in order to realize that Austin is more liberal than most cities nationwide.

Why aren't we discussing the fact that there's Ebola in one of the largest cities in the US? And the implications that accompany that fact.

My thoughts, if the test comes back positive for Ebola, I may see if we can get the mods to clean up the thread, and if it comes back negative, it is just another thread lost to the trolls.

You may be dead by the time it comes back positive.

The thing to remember is that ebola is not easily transmissible. If this were to verified it's almost certain that the person would have been exposed to some bodily fluids of someone infected from abroad if indeed the person in question didn't acquire it there. The odds of a widespread epidemic in a first world nation are very slim indeed. That someone would show up somewhere in the US when many thousands elsewhere are infected wouldn't be surprising.

First and foremost would be those the possibly infected came in contact with while traveling back from Africa. An airport/airliner (even for non-airborne diseases) is a terrible scenario for contact tracing.

Kind of. Ebola is a particularly difficult disease to transmit to others as it requires direct contact with bodily fluids of someone who is symptomatic. It's not that we should ignore the disease by any means, but the implications of an infected individual being present in a US city are fairly mild IMO.
