We saw the potential of hynix 4 ns modules on the vtek cards and they were around 500 to 580( to be more realistic 530 average )! Now i can't wait till i order one of these hot mommas! 3.3 should probably get 600 to 650, most geforce ti200's hit 220 max, so extra bandwith mite be a waste after 580 or something.

nope they use hynix...they barely hit 480 with tweakmonster copper ramsinks on them...can't even hit their specified speed....

I've been setting up my new kr7a w\ AMd 1800+ all day, so I really have not had time yet to really prove this card. Sorry, but I am slow and methodical. MB is excellent, very fast and stable. I'm worn out now, but I did try a small O/c at 200/450 and played a little UT. It was a snap. No problems. As soon as I get some benchmarking apps d/loaded so I can have more control, I'll start benching this beast, and rev up the potential. But, It looks and feels great so far....

Just bump it up to 600MHz and see if 3DMark2001 runs with no problems or artifacts. And see if the core can handle at least 220MHz.

I know on my visiontek I can hit 250/478. I was hoping these would hit 250/600.

What memory brand is better, Hynix or Elite? The Elite 3.8ns Ram on my Leadtek ti200 hits 530 with no artifacts and stock cooling. I wonder if the Hynix 3.3 will actually hit 600mhz, and if the stock EVGA cooling will be enough.

EliteMT is some damn good memory. ATI uses Hynix 3.6ns on the Radeon, it runs 550MHz on the retail. I dont see why the 3.3ns shouldnt run a min of 550MHz, unless of course the memory timings are very aggressive with the 3.3ns stuff, or there is insufficient voltage

The latest...Cranked coolbits as high as it would go = 220/500...Ran perfect..8636 3dmarks. Am going to d/l riva tuner or something now to crank it higher...

Tweakmonster tin coated copper ramsinks would be perfect for that card.

I would definitely hook up a millisec.com's vice 3 cooler for the core...

Using riva tuner, the highest 3dmark has run is 230/530, and that is with some tearing. At 230/520, it ran great at 8737 3d marks. Will do more testing later, but I've got to get some work in.

RgrPark...the fan is kinda dinky, it could definately use a better one.

If that article that rickn linked is right that would really suck. It has already been stated that the core EVga uses isn't the same core that VT uses(the same as the Ti-500). So with the slower core and memory that barely overclocks past the VT card the VT card would be a better option.

Easy to find out. Download nvmax and crank up the core. Like I said before I got 250 core on my visiontek. I could only hit 478 memory though.

OUCH!

EVGA can get away with it too because they are still selling it as a ti200 and not marketing it as able to go to 600mhz.

520Mhz is not bad for the $$$ (I know, $99 for VT back on Black Friday). I paid $229 for my ti200 TDH and can get 530mhz from my Elite 3.8ns ram. Thats enough for me to hold me over until NV25

They can get away with it, but it kinda defeats the purpose of even using that high speed memory. It is expensive for one thing. Looks like they didn't bother to do much testing, or they are simply using 3.3ns as marketing gimmick

Anyways, pretty happy with my $99 VT runnin @ 240/510....don't really need the extra 2 fps in nature that a higher overclock might achieve, but I would like to crack 9k 3dmarks in 2k1....currently stuck at @ 8800.

So the PNY's suck azz for OCing? I ordered one for my bro b/c he wants DVI on his card. Either way there will be either a PNY or VT with UPC on sale in FS/FT in about 2 weeks.
