This is rewriting history. Just look at the earlier pages on this thread. It wasn't well into GG's life before Arnett got attached to Zoe and even there I haven't seen anything but conjecture based on him being around her a couple of points and threw out support as GG got going. Grayson never reviewed her products at all and only had a single article. Which was apparently when they met. That was pointed out within a day on this thread.The revelation she f*&*&ed herself into an award STARTED gamersgate. It went from there to a general complaint about reviews being bought, with people basically saying only reviews from people like Totalbiscuit are worth going to. If you think this is ALL about Zoe Quinn, you missed the point.
What perspective are you reading on that? I have to ask. Because everything I have read said it broke down when a sponsor pushed people to hard and tried to stir up controversy. While from everything I have seen Zoe seems to be short tempered and easily to set off into one of her causes. The consensus from people there seem to be that Zoe was difficult but not the problem there.Also, Quinn was such an issue because she also took down a charity a while ago because they ran a event that would take entries for a game idea from women, then would implement the winner with proceeds going back into charity. Quinn got pissy she wouldn't get proceeds, and accused the charity of harassment, or something. Quinn is no stranger to controversy - which is all the more reason for the gaming community to revile her.
But isn't that just as bad as what GG is supposed to stop. Instead of having the advertisers pay to influence the news and review gamers receive. Now they want to turn around and any site that posts an article that they don't like, pressure their sponsors to drop them. Don't you see the Irony?Gamersgate, as a whole, isn't about the slut shaming. That was a spark. Nor is GG about death threats. Some people in GG might very well be (and I doubt the validity of some of these threats...) GG is further extended by the complaint that some of the problems in gaming journalism is people like Leigh Alexander who seem to just use their pulpit to write articles trying to shame them 'white male gamers' into feeling like shit.

How did Grayson not keep to the ethics of journalism? He didn't write a single word about her or her game after they started their relationship. That seems like the ethical approach to take. If he had been writing rave reviews about her product, yes, that's a tremendous conflict of interest, but he didn't. So where exactly is the ethical dilemma?
Please move to central America or eastern Europe where systemic corruption of this sort has been widespread for years.
