maybe you just lack comprehension here. even in the 5 minute video its dropping below 60 fps. and you even say you drop to 50 fps. there are plenty of cpu intensive parts of the game and I have spent many hours testing it on various setups.

You said the i5-4690K "even OC'd CAN'T go above 60 FPS". That's VERY different than dropping below 60 FPS occasionally (which the i7 DOES as well!).

Stop trolling me please.

yep once again its poor reading on your part. dont use quotes when you are not even using the exact words someone said.

I said "CANT stay above 60 fps "

The i5 stays ABOVE 60 FPS MOST of the time, when OC'd it stays above 60 FPS just as well as the i7! Neither can the i7 stay above 60 FPS 100% of the time!

The difference is so negligible it's just an excuse for bragging rights to get the i7. And this is only with two games: BF4 and Crysis 3. 99% all other games it's identical performance.

Again is all this worth $100? Absolutely not. But yes it is only my opinion which you don't have to agree with. Some people are more vigilant with their spending than others.

nope I dont drop below 60 fps at all. if I disable HT then I drop into the 50s quite a bit. thats a huge problem since I want to use vsync. without vsync then of course it would not be an issue.

and yeah I only bought the i7 to brag. it was certainly not to enjoy my pc to the fullest for the next few years.

By going from your sig, at 4.4Ghz, if you really don't drop below 60 FPS at all and you literally stay above 60 FPS 100% of the time then that's respectable performance from an i7 and I can understand why you chose the i7 over the i5.

I haven't used an i7 so I don't know how true that is, but what you said has got me interested in getting an i7 to test out. I run a 120Hz monitor and would like to get as close to 120FPS 100% of the time as I can.

Seriously just stop.

You can't win against somebody who have no qualms of spending at least $1500 on a new PC but with the mental gymnastics to justify how bad an extra $100 for a better CPU is with clear present and future advantages.
