Let's say, for example, that a member of an online forum - say, Anandtech - was a prostitute.
Would advertising her services here - say, through a link in her sig/profile/posts - be considered solicitation?
And if not, what about a link to an "escort service review site" where said services are offered?
Also consider that minors can be registered here. Is the degree of separation enough to absolve the originating forum of any responsibility?
Of course, the above is purely hypothetical, and is in no way referring to an actual member of ATOT from the Lone Star State, whose pimp also frequents the forums.
Although the hypothetical prostitute is supposedly "out of the game" now, according to said hypothetical pimp, and would appreciate that people stop sending her emails and calling her phone.
