Oh my goodness...
TRP!
Hehe, maybe this was all just a dream?
An example of how lucky you guys at AT have been.
It was early 2001 and I was contemplating making a career track change and dissapointing my mentor. It was a difficult time but I was so grateful for the conversations I had with ISLA and I will say now almost 2 years later she was SO RIGHT!!!!!!!!
ISLA 2001:
"I know it is hard, but it really is all part of the big cycle of life. Before you know it, you guys will have a baby on the way and this move will make it a lot easier on both of you!
If I were in your position, I would tell my mentor that this is very hard for you and that you have really enjoyed your time working with him. Get him a special gift... something that shows that you have been paying attention. To some degree, your continued and future success is a good reflection on him... and one day, you may be able to benefit him. Unfortunately, you are in a 'growing' phase---which is painful, but necessary. It's time to learn new things at a new job... and you might be suprised at what those things are, lol! Hubby has worked for a very small company and a very large company.... both experiences have been valuable. You have to keep stretching yourself... you are too young (and too capable) to stop climbing".
