Congrats on passing Team Amiga and on the first day of MF6. 3.8M blocks in one day was pretty good.

I hate to tell you that Russ has already taken pretty big steps in stopping you overall. TA's keyrate has taken a pretty big jump since he joined and you're going to have trouble catching TA before we make it to #1.

That aside, you have a great team and I wish you luck in the rest of MF6.

eNeRGy- Yup, a million doesn't cut it anymore does it.:Q TA and DPC has come a long way in the last few months. I do enjoy the DPC team spirit and our competition. I do get a kick out of the MFs and remember &quot;Flushing for Freedom&quot; which was the lasy big MF as I recall.

One question- how many days does MF6 go on?

Well, I think I can reveal that the DPC will flush for 8 days.
First flush day was on 01-09-00 last day will be 09-09-00. So on 10-09-00 the last big score comes. After that there might be some smaller subteams who will flush their load and maybee there are blocks left on the keyproxies. The effects of the MF6 must be gone on (a bit of a guess) on 12-09-00.
Then our way to the second place (/. at that time) can begin.
As a DPC member I concentrate on /. for the number 1 (2?) spot in the overall ranking.
AnandTech is the team to beat at the moment in the daily rankings.
As soon as DPC is nr 2 we can concentrate on the final battle with TA. This will be hard for us but on the other hand, You have to win the hardest battles to be the real champion.

It's ok if someone doesn't know particular words in English, could happen to anybody, hey I'm Dutch, You think my english is always correct ? No way.
But if someone want so react on this forum, I believe they have to respect the language of the forum-owners, because that's where you're talking to. Most of you don't understand a word of the Dutch language, so we could make fun of you without you knowing it.

The matter reversed is not entirely the same, since most dutch people know english, as you see here frequently, and we'll sometimes translate it for members that have difficulty reading your posts.

Just wanted to let you know why ome of us didn't like the posting of QW.

Gizmo - you miss the point. This is an english-speaking forum. Our lack of command of the Dutch language has no bearing on anything. If we stuck to our respective forums, there would be no need for this discussion.

I believe that was entirely my point, it's an english -speaking forum, so everybody should speak english there, or stay out.

No Dan I don't quite agree, as this is NOT the Team AnandTech forum, it's the AnandTech Distributed Computing Forum which is open to everyone within Anand's guidelines of course. It also happens to be the TA home, which is secondary.

I agree with GizmoNL. Posting in pure Dutch language here is not proper. For a person with Dutch, Chinese, Russian or any other primary language that posts here in broken English should be respected. This has happened in the past and will continue to happen.
