As your ambassador it is my pleasure to announce that the race with DSLR Team Starfire is now officially over and you can now take your victory lap. That is right; we took the challenge and have emerged victorious!
When this race started we were a team in disarray that was about to be overtaken. The shock of 9/11 and tragic events on our own forum were pushing us to the edge. However, like a true champion always does we pulled ourselves together and started the biggest recruiting drive in TeAm history. At first the race was back and forth. We were gaining members at a rapid pace but it never seemed to be enough. Slowly we narrowed the gap to the tune of ?More, more, more?? It started as our rallying cry and then became our victory chant as we saw ourselves move into the lead. We did not become complacent or satisfied with just holding the lead. No, we had to make sure that we would never be caught again. While our lead in the race grew slowly our lead overall grew in leaps and bounds. We began to pass teams moving not one or two but three positions in the overall standing. Then trouble started for both teams as bandwidth became scarce and stats pages were shuffled around. Each team struggled to keep production up and keeping stats became a nightmare. If this had been a close race we would not know today who the winner was, but Team Anandtech left no doubt in the minds of anyone. The gap was so large that it no longer needed to be measured.
You fought through the loss of teammates and the loss of friends. Through shortages of work units and shortages of patience. Through gaining new teammates and gaining new friends. Now you are champions. You will face many trials in the future. This project is far from over and we are still far from the top. We may make it there and we may not but this team will stick together and take on all challengers and fight them with the dignity and resilience of a true champion.
I say it again; CONGRATULATIONS TEAM ANANDTECH!
