Just to remind you folks that remedies should not be made about our voting procedure:

There were REPUBLICANS that were in these lines as well!

Are you saying that you don't care about Republican voters as long as their suppression means a net gain in votes for your candidate? If you do care, then why not remedy?

Bush won both popular vote by over 3 million voters, and he got the EC. Enough is enough. Dems need to focus their efforts on 2006 and 2008, and this time find a freaking candidate that is better than the shrew you couldn't defeat the past november

No... I believe they are saying that it won't affect the outcome of this election... Bush won, period.

As for future elections, remedies should be made.

Bush won, fine. But as long as you realize there WERE problems, some of them quite problematic and need to be rectified as soon as possible.

That doesn't make sense. If you agree there were problems, but not enough that would've changed the outcome, then why is Boxer full of sh*t for saying the same thing you just did?

For many reasons, but in this case, for crying like a toddler.

Perhaps a compromise is in order. Dems lighten up on Judge confirmations, Repubs will let vote reform legislation come through?

Good to see it's officially certified.

That doesn't mean there were not widespread problems during the election and after (during recounts).

Our entire voting process is a joke. It's even sadder that we've had four years to fix it after the last debacle and it's only been made worse.

Exactly how has it been made worse? That's right- it hasn't. It's been made a joke of by leftists who keep losing power and who are whining. Let it go already. If you have constructive ideas on how to lessen potential problems - fine, but to whine endlessly about doesn't do anything. But hey, keep it up - the voting public just loves sore losers....oh wait -that's right - they don't.

************

Yeah OP, it's hilarious the show the Dems put on yesterday. Quite a pity party - no?

CsG
No paper trail on e-voting. Ohio SoS Blackwell seeking to keep himself from even being interviewed about problems in Ohio. Much longer lines and less equipment in poorer urban precincts. Problems handling early ballots and provisionary ballots. Problems with moving voting locations days before the election. And on and on and on.
There are always problems - it isn't a new thing. Do you have something constructive or are you going to continue with the conspiracy card? I agree there needs to be a paper trail but for you and others to claim conspiracy is laughable. Oh, and provisional ballots need addressed - Any provisional ballots cast outside of the proper precinct should be tossed out though. Provisionals should only be used for cases where there is a registration/paperwork mistake - not as a blanket "vote wherever you want to system".

CsG
Care to point out where I said anything about a conspiracy?

Leave it to CsG to exaggerate someone else's claims.

The Dems already have let in more than 90% of Bush's judicial nominees...

But I don't understand how voter reform could be used as a bargaining chip. Both parties should be looking to clean it up.

Yes, facts that rely on conspiracy theories from the left. What exactly is the issue with Blackwell? He was trying to do his job without interference from the media. The lines were long in more places than just the poor black urban areas. ETC. Now again, none of these things are new.
But yeah, I'll leave it to you tinfoil types to whine endlessly about ohio while you ignore other areas.

Ya, and I can throw up a shitstorm of links and say they are fact too.

Nice pretty statistics and everything.

...and it's a FACT that all those people waiting in line were not voting democrat. Statistical impossibility
...and it's a FACT that the same voting fraud happened across the country by both democrats and republicans
...and it's a FACT that a county in Washington had more democratic votes than elligible voters
...and it's a FACT that several counties in Pennsylvania had more registered democrat voters than the total population.

See where FACTS get you?

No, I'm quite aware of reality - it's where I live. You and others on the other hand continually show you have little to no sense of reality and bleat conspiracy BS to fuel your hatred of Bush. Well, again I'll say- keep it up. Voters love to see your types.

My distaste of Bush has nothing to do with the documented problems with this past election.

If those are true stories then they are more evidence that our voting system is a mess and needs a fundamental overhaul.

So then why quote news stories that twist the actual truth and then fail to bring up voting irregularties from BOTH sides?

You say my sources are biased, yet your credible sources dont mention the voting irregularities I did, and then harp about long election lines in Ohio as one of the reasons for Ohio being lost....under the assumption that all those people in line were voting democrat when they knew damn well they werent.
