All this talk about this photo is rediculous. I hope the Republican party tells the victims they aren't getting a dime of the money.

The photo was part of a three photo set, if I'm not mistaken. They used it because 9-11 was a day that will forever be in our memories and country's history. So, they have a photo of him during that day showing that he is working and being the president. It shows that when our country needed him, he was working on the situation. It is a testament to his presidency, not so much the actual tragedy. The first picture is when he is sworn in, I think. Then, the photo of 9-11, then a more recent photo. If you are the republican party selling a tribute to the president, how do you not include a something about 9-11, one of the hardest days for any president since our country was founded?

It's retarded how people get worked up over some stupid crap like this. Don't like it? Don't buy the photo.

I don't see what the issue is of the photo at all. It's a picture of him talking on the phone, it's not like a picture of him in front of ground zero or something.

Name one president that hasn't? Some may have done it with good intentions but you can probably look at each presidency and see some national crisis and how the presidents performance during that crisis was used to further his political career or his party's political career.

Get over it. Its a picture of him talking on the phone. September 11th was a terrible day, but a defining event in Bush's presidency. The people who chose the photograph did not use one that showed him hugging firefighters or walking in the rubble of the WTC. I think it was tastefully done.

What does this photo have to do with the victims of 11 Sept.? It's a photo, one of three, showing the President in one of the defining moments in his presidency. This is what the set of three photos is intended to be. It would be kind of a lame photo set if there was not a picture relating to 11 Sept. in it.

Edit: and btw, I don't think you could have selected a more tasteful photo depicting the President on this particular day. There is absolutely no graphic reference in it to the tragedy; it simply portrays the man in action on the phone during the crisis.

Yep. This is why I don't think I could ever be a democrat. There'll all piss and wind. I doubt Bush or anyone near his level even knew about any of it and if they did they may not have thought the better of it.

I will say this. I'd take this presidential fund-raising behavior over Clinton/Gore's any day of the week. Bill "at a fund raiser every other day" Clinton and Al "Love those Buddists" Gore really impressed me with their priorities. And I'll never forget where Gore was on the eve of the Kosovo bombing -- at a fundraiser.
