Connect3d Radeon 9500 L RAM red pcb

Just got mine today from connect3d.com. Installed the omega drivers, over clocked to 350/312 and scored 5108 on 3dmark2003!!!

Nothing beats a $149 9700pro!

3d connect card 9500np red with "L" shape memory. Installed omega hacked drivers. Card won't even run artifact tester. I get run time error '-2005532109-(88760233)': Must be chip can't run 8 pipelines. I even notice flickering when I put the mouse pointer on the start button, kind of weird. Has anyone tried to get RMA from 3d connect? and what reason did you use to return the card?

Sounds like a software problem atm.

i took mine to 382/309... it runs flawlessly..but gets very hot. I pulled it down a bit until I can comeup with some better cooling

Woohoo!!!! Got mine today and it softmodded with no problems. Right now I'm at 328/314 and scored 4800 3dmarks. I'll keep going to see how far I can get it. I also played some RTCW: Enemy Territory, and that worked great too.

For those of you who had artifacts and etc, did you try to underclock it slightly to see if it works stable at a slightly lower clock speed? It's better to have 8 pipes at a lower clock then to have 4 at a slightly higher clock. Give it a shot.

Recieved my card today from connect3d. Successful without any artifacts whatsoever. Here are my scores:

Radeon 9500 270/270 - 2915
Radeon 9700 270/270 - 4471
Radeon 9700 320/300 - 5084

Got my Connect3D card last night. Seems to work using regular softmod since it is being recognized as a 9700. Can somebody help me with a problem I'm having with Omega drivers. I can get everything to work the 1st reboot after installing omega drivers, but after that it screws with my display settings. Drivers are recognized as a 9700, but it limits me to 800x600 and 4 bit color. Did I install it wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help and sorry for the techsupport request in this thread.

Mine Came last week. The omega drivers make the computer freeze when I start ut2003, when I go to the ATI driver, no problem. I guess my card is not going to go with the 8 pipelines.

Bah, go mine, went from like 8000 in aquamark03 to 26,000

slight artifacting (like in 3dmark, only "neo"'s eyes checkerboard in the lobby scene)

don't know if there's a fix, or whether i should revert or leave it...

I got a 9500 from connect3d and mod it to a 9700, no problems. I use win98 and used rivatuner's mod and cat 3.7 drivers. One problem I have now is how do I overclock it? Rivatuner doesn't support cat 3.7. Will rivatuner still let me overclock? I'm going to look around and see what I can come up with. FYI, I got 3000+ in 3dmark from a gf4ti4400 that was oc to ti4600. During 3dmark, I never saw the checker board behind the guy in the chair. Not sure if that is good or bad.

I found rage 3d and oc is going good. The fyi was wrong. I increased 3000+ from the stock 9500 and 2000+ from gf4ti4400.

example: a 9500 non pro with the soft mod hack running at 362 MHz / 311 Mhz scored 5110 on 3Dmark with the 8 pipes.

on the same exact system a 9600 pro with only the 4 pipes overclocked to 425 Mhz / 345 mhz score 3105 on 3Dmark with 4 pipes.

only 4 pipes just kills ya

Just got one yesterday from Connect 3d. installed the omega drivers and ran 3dMark03. Looked fine in the Wings of Fury test but getting missing pixels etc.. (checkerboard I guess, I'm new to all this) in Battle of Proxycon and Troll's Lair. Ran the normal omega drivers and reran 3dMark and no artifcats. I guess I'll try to return this one. The one I got wasn't actually wrapped in plastic as I'd imagine a new retail one would be and I'm guessing that they just shipped me somebody's return (?).

Ordered from connect3d 3 weeks ago, got the card, but it was actually a returned one, static bag was already opened (seal broken) and one of the capacitors was banged up and was hanging sorta off the card. The returned card speaks for itself for softmodding...

lol, u probably got a card that some other weasel on this forum tried to OC and failed, so they returned it.

i wish people wouldnt return these cards simply cuse they dont overclock, if u wanted a sure thing buy the real 9700 pro
