This is pretty hot. I haven't seen any number yet, but I'm pretty sure it'll be faster than the 7600... 256bit mem interface, more pipes more ... je ne sais quoi.

Possibly it can be unlocked by flashing bios. Even though I believe most unlocked ones were build by HIS.

EDIT: Opps. I didnt notice its a 16 pipe enabled card. Even nicer deal then.

The description says this is a 16 pipelines part, a GTO's supposed to have 12. Is this a typo? In this case, if it is indeed 16 pipes, this would be the exact same card as a X1800XL.

This is already 16/8 like X1800XL/XT, so I don't think there's anything left to unlock. Manufacturer's site shows same specs.

From doing a bit of googling, the connect3D X1800GTO indeed seems like a 16 pipeline enabled part, so no unlocking/flashing is needed, in which case would be a HOT deal.

This is the best deal I've ever seen. Especially after seeing that it has 16 pipes unlocked, which effectively makes the card an X1800XL. Nice find, there.

This card overclocks decently by around 50-60 mhz at default voltage, but will reach 600 by upping the voltage slightly.

anyone have one of these? 500 core with possible 600 core oc'd is nice. how high does the ram oc? 16 pipes with 600 core and ram from 1k -1.5k = performance somewhere between x1800 xl and x1800 xt cards.

i need a new card and it might be worth getting since my 7900gt is backordered at dell.

People report only 12 pipes out the box, but you may be able to enable the other 4 with a bios change. YMMV greatly.

In for one.... $263 shipped - $60 rebate. I should get it by Tuesday if they ship from CA or by Wednesday if they ship for TN. Hoping for 580 core and 1150 + mem.
I hope i don't regret not grabbing that 7900gt from zzf for $309 ($340 shipped).

<edit> Cancelling order. The card would be fine for a lower rez monitor, but I don't want to try the bios change and oc to maybe get it to drive my monitor. <edit>

man ur shooting very low . ill say ull hit around 600/600 good luck! <-former XL owner here and possibly another xl owner if this rebate is good for its word and if it is indeed 16 pipes.

can u tell us what ram chips it comes with? im guessing 2.0ns .

From the research I've done on GTOs and XL's, 580 was around the lowest gpu oc and 1160 was the lowest on the ram. GPU should be close, but ram will depend on the chips and other factors. I just want to be able to play a few games at 1650x1080 with eye candy on. If this doesn't do it, I'll grab a 7900GT when the prices drop and oc it.

Yes, it's better than a X800XT PE, but it wouldn't be worth upgrading from an X800XT PE if that's what you're wanting to do.
