Can this be unlocked? I might have to bite. $154 is an acceptable price to me for a powerful video card.

I got in on this deal and had bought a sapphire gto2 (w/ artic silencer 5) that got 615/555 but the sapphire is long gone now and I'm gonna try for this now.

With Newegg being stupid with their new UPS "no-hold" contract. I ordered a 7800GT + DFI Lanparty from Newegg last week. Due to the new contact, I couldn't put a hold on my items and they ended up getting shipped back to Newegg because I'm not home during the day to recieve them.

Soooo..kinda glad I waited. This is such a great deal on this card that I will take the hit in performance from not going w/a 7800GT. PLUS monarch gets my business and not newegg.

Supposidly from reslleratings, Monarch sometimes "upgrades" your orders to 2-day or overnight shipping.

I just went free ground.

IINM, once it's unlocked and OC'ed, it should essentially be a X800XT (R423 core instead of the R480 core of the X850XT PE).

Are you sure? I don't see GTO² there but GTO. Needs to be GTO² for unlocking.

You guys do realize that it is the responsibility of the seller to request signature confirmation right? It costs more, and likely results in more returns due to non delivery which might be why many companies don't ask for a sig. Also, if the declared value is over $500 I believe, then signature is required by FedEx.

Don't blame FedEx for the retailler's policies. Same goes for UPS and USPS.

According to that article they had 1 out of 46 not work. Fairly decent odds I would say.
