I've been reading that 91 page thread like a book.

Seems the Connect3d X800 GTO's perform just about as well as the GTO^2 when overclocked.

They can go above and beyond X850XT speeds OC'd (The C3D X800GTO)

The Zalman VF700-CU is recommended as the heatsink. It keeps temps down(which improves life) and can allow for even better OC's.

I think I may order the Zalman due to the low price on the card.

if you are lucky you can get the gto2 for about 230 on ebay. I kicked myself for becoming too interested in my class and forgetting the time.
I missed an auction I was watching.

(the one I missed was $202 before shipping...not saying I kicked myself for missing the 230 ones)

Hell those things were 200-220 new I almost jumped on them when they were 198 at ewiz.com, but I waited too long and ended up having to pay 220. Oh well thats what I get for hesitating.

Over for a while. It was at MicroCenter. There were doubts they would honor, but they did. I only got mine today because I was in Brazil for a month.

That crap just tees me off. I don't understand why they won't just leave a "come pick-it-up at our office" slip. I don't mind driving 10 miles round trip or whatever to make sure that I get my item safely.

Duh! What do they think will happen if they leave it out in the open on a doorstep? I hope FedEX and UPS reimburse people the full value of any stolen items. Has anyone ever had this problem before where they leave it and it isn't around when you get home?

They should just require a signature for everything. If it weren't important or if it didn't have value it wouldn't have been shipped FedEX or UPS. I really don't understand it.

Dagnabbit--I totally missed that. I would have bought one too, for sure. How did you find out about the now-dead $10 off coupon code? I didn't see anything in the e-mails I'd received from Monarch.

I found it through a different forum earlier this morning but I had already bought the card anyways and by the time I found out it was dead as well. I think some people got it from the ram, dont know about the others though.
