Just emailed Connect3d to inquire them about an AGP version...... you would think the market for AGP would still be more so than PCI-E still.

I think it was very, very short-lived, as in one or two hours long. I think the story is that Monarch had sent selected people an e-mail for failing to honor a price or for their being out-of-stock of something and then someone went and posted it at the deal discussion sites. The coupon code was probably limitted and when it reached its limit, or when Monarch found out that it had been publicized, it was turned off.

Kind of sucks if you were legitimately entitled to take advantage of it. I wasn't but I only found about all of this after the fact, which is a big bummer 'cause I would have jumped on it.

The good news is that they issued an RMA immediately this morning and I'm shipping it back. The bad news is, I missed the $10 coupon, now have to pay return shipping and HOPE I get a card that unlocks yet...

That is exactly what I said to you in the PM, I'm willing to do it.

Oh and BTW the card came a day early, bless their lil hearts. I easily unlocked the card to 16 pipes, mind you if you uninstall the drivers, atitool will still show 12 pipes untill you reinstall ati drivers. I freaked out at first, thinking C3d finally started cutting the pipes, but once I installed the Cat drivers everything was/is fine and dandy.

Anyways, it was really $144AR last night with the $10/$75 coupon. I finally picked one up.

I think it's alive again! I ordered one earlier this morning and the coupon code worked! Even at it stock speeds for $144 AR it's a hot deal. If I can successfully unlock it and get a nice overclock it will be red hot.

You have to enter a coupon code that may or may not work any longer. You can find it in threads at FatWallet and Slickdeals. Only problem is that hours after ordering it I receive an e-mail listed as "invoice" and instead of listing a price of $169 it lists it as $179. Hopefully they didn't charge my credit card the other ten dollars; how could they? I only agreed to a charge of $169.

Not a problem. They did the same to me. I called up and they said I was only charged $169. Sure enough, I checked with my CCC and the charge is only $169. I just don't think their invoicing system knows about coupons.

I'm not saying you didn't get a return, but what you describe isn't all that uncommon. While this is "retail," it's not sold in a retail store, and thus not shrink wrapped--in fact, it's usual THE STORE that does the shrink wrapping, and not the manufacturer. The stickers used to seal anti-static bags often have really lame adhesive and don't stick for very long. As long as the card works, I wouldn't sweat it.

Eh, I hear yah man. Mine came almost in that way. The sticker was still on but i saw residues from another sticker, maybe. Anyways, mine was successful should it crap out there is always warranty.

Argh! I ordered but NOTHING. I got the "your order needs to have confirmation because the shipping address... credit card... blah blah blah" and that got fixed no problem but no card. Come on Monarch!

Does their online order tracking system get updated promptly or does it lag behind? I'm sort of frustrated even though I've been working and wouldn't be here to get the delivery. Maybe it's a good thing .

Man I woul like to know what speeds these bad boys can OC to. I got in on the Saph gto2's from newegg when they were $199 with $3.99 shipping so that was a grand total of $203. I can oc mine (w/ 16 pipes unlocked) all the way up to 550/1220 on stock. Im pretty sure that beats the gto but by how much is what Im wondering. Was the $50-60 extra worth it? Thanks in advanced
