One needs to get tough on the criminals rather than coddle them.
Obama was even crying when he gave the news conference over this.

Too bad there weren't a few teachers with concealed carries.
He was wiping away non-existent tears. Crocodile tears.
I'd better not here "well, he passed a background check and had no history of violence".
Something needs to be done and I am sick of such a reactive society that tends to make changes AFTER something happens. How much more blood has to be spilled until we realize that we need to make some major freaking reforms to what qualifies a potential gun owner to be one?
We ought to start looking at what's in the best long-term interests of our country and society and not be so hell-freaking-bent on what "my rights are".
When that fails, arm students next?
You fail.
First, I hate that we can't talk about this in Off Topic. It makes me feel dirty coming in here.
Second, if any of you imbeciles think that "gun control" is going to fix anything, I'll kindly point you towards "drug control".
We all know how spectacularly well that works, because nobody has access to drugs. Oh wait.
If you outlaw guns, only criminals will have guns. It's rather simple.
You would trust a teacher to put idea's in your child's head but not to carry a weapon?
Or can we:sneaky:First, I hate that we can't talk about this in Off Topic. It makes me feel dirty coming in here.

You're right. Free speech can lead to all sorts of problems. We need to look at what's in our best interests and if that means eliminating free speech well so be it. You can't put your rights above the safety of others.
You would trust a teacher to put idea's in your child's head but not to carry a weapon?
I would also talk about gun laws that don't get enforced, and a mental health system that works only for those with money. We need to talk about parents that are raising monstrously selfish children. We need to talk about a school systems that have their hands tied with it comes to disciplining problem kids. We need to talk about children being drugged with Ritalin and adderall because it is easier to drug them , than parent them. This country has lost its way. Blaming only guns is not going to solve anything.

Daughter said:Daddy, Ms. Carry told us today that 2000 years ago dinosaurs were killing everybody until Jesus made them all disappear!
Daughter said:Daddy, Ms. Carry's husband got caught being naughty with their 13 year old baby sitter, so Ms. Carry killed him then came to school and shot us all dead.
You sir, win the internet.
Now that's some nice perspective.
Already talking gun control?
My tinfoil hat says Ryan Laza has a connection to David Axelrod. Nothing like an epic shooting of children to sway public opinion on the 2nd Amendment. Obamacare was to his first term what revoking the 2nd Amendment will be to his second term.
