connecting Sun Microsystems monitor to PC

Can a Sun microsystems monitor be used with a PC, is there an adapter and will the monitor work as well as a standard monitor.

If you do a litte searching you'll find a company that sells the sun -> vga adapter. We bought one at work quite a ways back, dont remember who we got it from though. It wasn't cheap if I remember correctly. The video seemed as good as when it was connected to a sun box, just comes down to the specs of the monitor.

Be careful.....If I remember right older sun monitors are fixed scan rate.

I have a model GDM-20DM 20" Sun monitor and it is incompatible with my PC's video output.

Best to seek out someone well versed in Sun hardware before you try. Failure would not be fun.

They have the adapter that you need here: Micro Warehouse. Just do a search for sun & you should find what you want.
