edit: nevermind I forwarded port 3389 or something and it's working now. I've got a nasty tendency to post a question before I do enough searching for the answer.
I'm running Terminal Services in remote administration mode on my Win2000 server at home. My cable modem connects to an SMC Barricade router. The server gets assigned a private IP of course, and the router is running NAT. I don't know how to connect to my terminal server from work, how can I do this? I know I could just get rid of the router and connect the cable modem directly to the DC, but this is all a learing experience for me so I'd like to figure out how to make it work with the router.
The Barricade has settings for virtual servers and special applications, would I need to change settings in there? Thanks to those who will give me some tips and advice.
