Alright here is the deal: I go to a university which requires a certain antivirus in order to connect to the internet (F-Secure). This is checked via a bradford security program. I am running windows xp 64-bit and thus cannot run either of those programs. In the past I was able to bypass the system by specifying the DNS server and default gateway from a computer already on the network, but this semester it doesn't seem to be working. As of right now I have specified the DNS and am able to connect using IE but cannot get any programs that require logon to work (AIM, games, mail).
I've noticed that computers connected to the network are using one DHCP server while I am getting assigned another DHCP server. I think perhaps if there were a way to specify which DHCP server IP i requested to I could bypass the system again, so does anyone know how to do that?
Other than that let me know what else I can try.
Edit: thought this forum might be more appropriate.
