I need more ports in order to connect my XBox360 to the network (and I'm not going to pay the absurd $130CAD MS wants for their wireless adaptor!)..
I have a D-Link DI-624 wireless router, which connects to a cable modem for internet access.
How can I connect my wired router, a Netgear RT314, to the wireless one, so I'd be able to access the Internet (and preferably, all computers on the network) from the Netgear?
I've tried just about all I can think of.. but nothing seems to work.
What I've tried:
1) Having the Netgear function as a switch (in theory??) by connecting a port of the D-link to a (regular) port on the Netgear (ie. not to the WAN/Internet port). No dice.
2) Connecting a port of the D-link to the WAN port on the Netgear. This managed to disconnect everything from the internet when the power blipped. Probably some settings I missed..
Any help would be appreciated!
