Connecting Two Switches

Hi,

I want to expand my home network and add an additional switch. I have a 4-port switch right now. What hardware do I need beside the second switch and what kind of cat5 cable in terms of straight or crossed.

I have been searching for some good website that discusses how and what's the best way and hardware for small and mid-size network. Please post any site you think is good. The most pictures, the better. Thanks

Uplink port on one to standard port on other, using standard cable. Or, standard ports on both, using crossover cable.
