YOU guys are asserting that if Trump wasn't the president, we would magically have a significant amount of less deaths from COVID

Have you no shame, gentlemen? Trump played the pandemic for political advantage rather than in the interests of public health. He popularized maskless defiance as an act of political fealty to him. Witness his covid party in the Rose Garden & his frenzied rallying thereafter. He had rallies all over the country, ten in the 2 days prior to the election & never mentioned public health guidelines as he basked in the glory of thousands of maskless morons packed together & cheering at the top of their lungs. He actually promoted the spread. He attacked Governors who took steps to limit the spread & told his followers to "liberate!" states where they did. He minimized it from the start & promoted outright quackery.

Of course they don't, otherwise they wouldn't be defending the Cheeto's total abdication of responsibility
