I have recently been considering getting a dual monitor setup. Right now, I have a Mitsubishi DiamondPoint NX86LCD. 18.1". It's a pretty decent monitor and I've had it for a couple years.
My main question is, are there any advantages to having equally sized monitors in a dual monitor set up? If I'm going to do this, I feel like the monitors ought to be equal. Now, I am not a photoshop guru, don't do anything video intensive, etc. However, I am a gamer.
I am willing to spend a moderate amount of money for this, but I am not looking at the most expensive brands out there, such as Sony. However, the lowest grade monitor is not acceptable either. So for a 17 inch monitor, I would be willing to spend no more than 250 bucks.
Anyway, here are my options:
OPTION A) try to find another Mitsubishi just like the one I have and keep my current one too. This is minimal cost, of course. However, this model is discontinued, although I'm sure I could find it SOMEwhere.
OPTION B) buy some other monitor to go with this 18.1" (a 17 inch monitor or something. Like I said, I don't prefer having 2 different sized monitors. Are there any disadvantages to this?
OPTION C) sell my Mitsubishi and buy two new identical monitors, 17 inch. I am leaning toward this option, though it costs the most.
Any insight or ideas on good Monitors or good set ups are very much appreciated!
Thanks
