I prefer:
high sensitive (if it ends up being to high I'll just lower it)
medium size mouses
3 buttons... left click, right click, wheel
and black or black and silver/white

Then you should look into a razer. MS and logitech are a little bulkier and gear towards low sens users.

If you are a high sens user you really would want to look into the high dpi mouses for better sensitivity customization and tracking purposes.

Not overlooked, though, thanks for your concern. He said in the OP that he is mainly considering a new mouse for the FPS (first person shooter) games that he is playing and that he also needs it for his regular stuff ( which any $2 mouse would do ). so, it's implied that,
1. this mouse may take a fair bit of pounding and a $2 mouse wouldn't do
2. High sensitivity is of high priority

anyhow, the oversight was your's not mine.

If you get the Copperhead over the Diamondback, tell me how it is StevenNevets, because I might get one, too, if you like it. You seem to have a very specific taste in a mouse, such as I do.

Just because he plays FPS ( i know what they are i didnt need the acronym spelled out but thanks anyways) doesnt nessecarily mean that he is a high sens user. Ive played FPS's for well over a year now and a 17" mousepad was a nessecesity for me because I am a very low sensitvity user. But thanks for your concern

On newegg the one selected right now is the only one

how do you mean? What's the question you're asking? I just did a keyword search on "razer mouse" to get those results... You can customize those links to newegg any way that you want to,

Edit: OK, great, let me know which one you get when you make your decision... Any of those you'll be happy with I'm sure. All the razer products are quality products. Like I said previously, I paid $52 for my Razer Diamondback and it was worth it at that price. One thing that hasn't been mentioned is that it comes with a carrying case... Surely, I didn't buy it for that, (and I don't really use it, because I'm not into the LAN Parties so much) but, to me it shows that for an expensive product that they're willing to make the extra effort to make a good product.

Also, it does help to get the mousepad if you don't have a decent one already... As with any optical mouse, they have trouble tracking on unvarying, unreflective surfaces. It works flawlessly on the pure black desk I have right now, though, oddly enough. It must be the reflectivity of it, because it is definitely featureless as far as picture/any kind of detail is concerned.

BTW, just to clarify my usage... I have played FPS's in the past, but I am not currently an active FPS player. About the only game I play anymore is Warcraft 3, RTS I got it on the recommendation of someone who played FPS's, even though I had no plans to use it for them myself and part from a recommendation from someone in my clan. It is good to know that my recommendation wouldn't necessarily be good for any FPS player, and now I know the difference between high sens and low sens mouse users, thanks,

It's the only one that seems to be what I'm looking for

Yes i use the mx518, and i am a low sense player, to the point of only doing about a quarter to a third of a turn in game with a full 12 inch swipe of my mouse. I play Enemy Territory and require extremely tight control to get those headshots and i LOVE the mx518, the software is great, you can disable mouse accelleration etc etc to keep consistency accross the board, i highly recommend the mx518. My left click did wear out as well after about 8 months use, but I didnt think this was abnormal because i am an avid player, so this was probably 800 - 1000 hours of gaming or more on that mouse, and logitech replaced it without even thinking about it, and didnt require me to send it back, so i cracked it, resoldered the spot that wore out with a new, now i have a spare, i wont use anythign else =)
