It's some YTMND fad.

Yeah, Boston is expensive from what I've heard, so you may want to relocate if you're going to stay in the country.

I suppose, but I wouldn't know--I've lived here in boring old Fresno for all 14 years of my life so far. (And I'm content with it--sad, perhaps. )

1. talk to an immigration lawyer and see what you'd have to do to get citizenship.

2. apply to university and use financial aid to pay for it

How could I go to a cheaper universtiy then BU? If I'm applying as a frakin immigrant I'll have to pay out of state tution on all state universities... Legally I can'te even have a JOB. The only document I have is my Brazillian Birth Certificate and an expired Brazillian passport. Whatever I do I'm fraked... I can't get a job, I can't apply for leases, loans or whatever. I swear to god citizenship should be awared automaticly if your in the US for 90+% of your life...

BU is one of the more expensive private schools. I'd think that even out-of-state fees at public schools would be cheaper. There are also cheaper private schools in Boston such as Northeastern.

Indeed. Brazilian transsexuals do have great asses. Their boob jobs often leave a lot to be desired, but the asses.. wow!

If your mother married a citizen, then she will have a conditional greencard for two years. After that she will get the permanent one ( an if she likes that's when she can file a divorce and not worry about losing his immigration status). Once she gets the conditional greencard, you should also get one if you are under 21. Then you can get a SS number and other documents. During this time you will be able to aply for financial aid ( you will also be eligible to pay in-state). Once you get the conditional greencard you can also join the military. You can also start working for another institution that will be able to sponsor you and, therefore get you a permanent greencard without you having to worry about your mother's immigration status. You don't have to contemplate suicide. if you want to keep studying , you can go to a community college for the first two years and then to a 4-yaer insitution ( once you either got your greencard or saved enough money). Finally, renew your brazilian passport , go there , and get yourself some brazilian ass.

Can this work?

The solution is that your mother stays in the US till you get your papers straight. You work a full time job and support your mother during those years.

Well whatever you do, don't do anything rash like seek out a immigration lawyer.

I have and filed my I-485/I-130. The problem is that my mom is leaving the country in 2 years and she has an interview with her "husband" every 12 months. And I don't know if I can convince my mom to stay longer...

Why the interview every 12 months? I married an american, filled out the I-485 etc etc and only ever had one meeting where we both had to show up and prove we were actually married.

Edit: What is your official status anyways? How could you live here 18yrs and not have even got your resident status?

Well because my mom was frustrated she never thought of getting my papers through. Soon she's turning 60 and going back to brazil to live off her retirement. So she doesn't care about her immigration status but me on the other hand... I grew up in this country. I'm american by nurture but not by birth. My mom feels bad about this so she married a friend a while back so I can get my papers. Well now I'm worried because with the papers they're going to have an interview every 12 months... and in 2 years my mom wont be here anymore. I just wish she came a freakin year earlier into teh country so I could be a U.S. citizen. I honestly don't give a frak about brazil. And it pisses me off that this people come here and in 2 years they're already broken english speakin U.S. citizens. I just feel violated by it... I've had fantasys and dreams about killing myself in a pubic area as a last stand. Because if I am deported to a fraking country I dont give a sh!t about I will kill myself.

Get married. A friend would understand.
