I think Sam's is more widely available. I've never actually been in a Costco. I couldn't even guess where the closest Costco is to me, but we have Sam's everywhere around here in Ohio.

it's always a zoo in there (especially when you have to park so far away you can tell) so I go to... neither. Couple that with the fact that every time you go you are spending $100+, potentially on top of local groceries... just better off not enticing yourself with the membership.

Go there in the morning, it's rarely busy. We do our grocery shopping 85% at Costco and 15% at local groceries that saved us at least $50/month if we were shopping at local groceries only. That's at least $600/year. Well worth the membership fee.

Probably. I just live in an area where all cities are less than major. They all have Sam's (well, I guess most do) but not Costco.

until last year 24 of the 25 closest CostCos to me were in another fucking country, the 25th being 4 hours away in another state

now its an hour away, same for sams

I just check the receipt. I went to the Sam's location in North Louisiana and the drink and hotdog combo was $1.85 and drink and slice of pizza combo was $2.74. Prices were with sale tax of 10%.
