Contacts in Android

Well, as I was typing out my Question I figure it out! haha, my original beef with the contacts program was that it didn't display the full phone #, but when I turned the phone sideways, it does... Ok, that's just kinda solved... Anyway to just get the phone to display the entire # with turning it sideways? Can I update to a different contacts interface that displays the information better?

Using an S4 with 4.4.2

That's strange. Are you using some kind of custom pixels?

And yes, there are several third-party Contacts apps (and dialer apps) that you can install from Play Store if you don't like the default ones. I'm personally not familiar with any, but someone should be able to help you here.

From my understanding there is no way to change your contacts or dialer default app without rooting. Or else I'd of changed my S4 to the google one in a heart beat on my work phone.

Huh? Did you even try? You could download any dialer you want right now and just use that from now on. It works exactly like using a different messenger app.

Also, I'm using an S4 as well and I can't reproduce what the OP is talking about. Can you give more detail? I'm in contacts, if I tap a name I see all of their numbers... the whole thing in any orientation.

could be that his text size under display settings is set to a very large size.
