Hello All!

I've been a frequent member here for awhile, which is made evident by my post count, of course. Throughout the year, I aquire many freebies of new products that come to the market. Most of the high end stuff goes to myself, or friends nab it. That left me with a stack of mid-grade/low-grade parts that just collect dust! I don't like going through the trouble selling said items, so why not give them away to others that would appreciate them!

That brings us to this thread. Below, you'll see a number of products that I am willing to part with. Everybody will get a chance to obtain one of these prizes by entering. All I ask, is you be honest. I would hate for these prizes to go to somebody that will just turn around and sell them on eBay, Craigslist or right here on the forum!

Unfortunately, this contest is limited to the USA and Canada. I will take care of shipping costs, but if you're in Canada, the customs charges are on you!

This contest has been thoroughly reviewed and approved by the Anandtech Mods (THANKS GUYS!).

Below, I have 5 total prize packages.

1. Intel Haswell i5-4430 LGA1150 CPU + MSI B85M-P33 motherboard

2. MSI Radeon 7770 graphics card

3. Zotac GTX 650 Ti graphics card

4. Intel Pentium G2020 LGA1155 + 4GB DDR3 + ASRock H61M-DGS Motherboard

5. Sandisk 32GB ReadyCache SSD

GROUP HUG!!!!!

The contest rules are quite simple. To enter, first tell us what prize package you would like, second, list what your plans are with said prize(s). The winners will be chosen at random after 1 week of posting this. Each member can only win 1 prize, but may enter for all 5 prizes!

Very gracious!!

ok, after contemplating, I've come up with the following:

#1) I would like to enter for anything. One can't be picky in a giveaway so if I can opt in for one of all, that's the best odds!

#2)No matter what I win, it'll be going to my mother to upgrade her PC in some way. She's on an AMD single core with integrated video and an old HDD so an SSD can be used for cache, video card to upgrade the graphics or the rest to, well, completely upgrade the system.

Cool idea!
1. Would use that combo to build a nice little machine for Mom.
2. Would be used to upgrade a machine that has a really old radeon in it. Would then give that gfx card to a neighbor.
3. Would be used to upgrade a GF4 card that is sitting in my cousin's machine
4. Would be used to make a NAS + router combo

Awesome. Thanks, nanaki!

1. Number 2
2. I need a real gaming card, as my IGP shows its limits every now and then. I also run F@H and the 7770 would be a massive upgrade.

Hi nanaki333,

My name is Robert and I really appreciate this give away you are doing, very nice of you.

1. I am interested in 1. Intel Haswell i5-4430 LGA1150 CPU + MSI B85M-P33 motherboard and 4. Intel Pentium G2020 LGA1155 + 4GB DDR3 + ASRock H61M-DGS Motherboard.

2. Last Christmas, I built my Mom a new computer for her to do her real estate work from home and record everything she has from her laptop for back up storage. My Mom and Stepdad are now going through a divorce and thought it would be a revengeful idea to steal the computer and sell it when he packed his bags. So basically I would like to build my mother a new computer with this hardware since I already have a case and extra power supply. I think she would really appreciate this since she has been feeling pretty depressed lately (Stepdad acting like a real db) and stressed out with her job. I am really on a budget now since a new AC and furnace is costing me over 5k to have installed in my home.

Thanks!

Wow nice gesture. I'd like to enter too, mostly on behalf of those close to me.

1,2,4 would go towards supporting someone close to me starting university to help them get a PC.

3 would be nice for a physx card.
5 would benefit my netbook or laptop and get them out of the Stone Age.

1 & 4: I would use these to work create a computer for Android development. As of now, I carry my gaming PC to my office to work with Android development. I'd love to have a dedicated workstation for it.

Thanks for the opportunity!

1. I'd upgrade my current Celeron system(sig, SR061 is the G550) to it and repurpose that Celeron into a print server or HTPC or something.

3. Light gaming and benchmarking.

I'm in.

Would like either:

#1 or #4 in particular.

Intentions? Long and the short of it, I'm trying to put together a home server that will run a few VMs including pfSense, Asterisk, and Win2k12 Server for file serving and game hosting for the kids. Though I'm thinking if I end up with #1, I'd upgrade the kidputer so they can play some of the newer games and use their old machine's guts as the server. Either way, whatever happens either of these will in some what or another either directly or indirectly end up becoming the core backbone of my "wired" household.

I would be happy with either video card (#2 or #3) as a birthday present for my oldest son (in August) since he's on integrated graphics (Intel G530), either would be a major upgrade.

I would gracefully accept the SSD too as I've never played with a dedicated cache drive before.

So I'll enter once, but I'd take just about anything (in order of preference: 1, 4, 2, 3, 5).

Thanks for the contest!

I'd like to throw my hat into the ring for any/all of the listed items.

What would I do with them? I'd use the part(s) won to build a new computer for my next door neighbor, an older woman of around 74 years old. Very sweet lady. Two days after we moved in, we went over and introduced ourselves. Found out she was more than a little computer literate but her box, an old HP, had died a few months prior and she was "suffering".

Lent her my Asus laptop to use for while I attempted to scrounge up enough parts to build her a new box. Any of those parts would be put to good use.

I would like to apply to win #1!

What I would I do with it? Replace my power hungry Phenom II 965BE! A 4430 will be faster (Even with my AMD at 4.1GHz, a 3GHz i5 will beat it most likely) and put out a whole lot less heat!

Number 2 or #3, the video card(s). It would be relegated to F@H to cure cancer. I am the number one F@H contributor for Anandtech, and this would be added to my arsenal.

I'd like to enter for prizes 1-4.

I've got a spare case and PSU after doing an upgrade and would love to throw together an extra gaming PC for one of my friends to play on when we have Starcraft II LAN nights. He currently plays on a Dell laptop that has a faulty (out-of-warranty) GPU, and it hard locks every couple of hours.

I'd like to enter for the Intel CPU and motherboard combo, which is prize #1 and #4. Prize #1 would be used to build a faster PC for my sister, as she currently has a Phenom II X3 Unlocked.

I would like the Zotac GTX 650 Ti graphics card package, I will use it in SLI with my 650 Ti Boost in my mid range PC.
Are you sure you can SLI a GTX 650 TI with a GTX 650 TI Boost?
